Presqu'ile Park, June 9th - 23d 2004 Site #78

Wednesday, June 9th - arrival day!
weather changing - quick setup!

Thursday, great spring weather!
time to relax and enjoy the view!

Sometimes you just have to
take it real, real easy!!

Thursday morning - coffee time!
and something for Brodie too!

One of the reasons we love
Presq'uile! Great sunsets!

Jackie and Brodie at the
Presq'uile Lighthouse point.

Tornado clouds heading out to
Lake Ontario - luckily for us!

This is what over 100,000 water
birds look like. Gull Island!

Vino time by the campfire
with "neighbours" John and Gail!

Scuba diving at the park.
Over 7 wrecks in the area.

Yours truly and Jackie
on the marsh boardwalk!

Another pic of Jackie
on the Presq'ile marsh boardwalk!

Jackie and I with Marilyn & Dave
- Jackie's cousin, at the beach.

Day trip to Sandbanks beach
.. new "dogs allowed" beach area.
Comments: Presq'ile is our favourite camping spot. Large powered sites located directly at waters edge on a bluff, overlooking Gull and Bluff Island bird sanctuaries. Not the best park for kiddies but for outdoor lovers, great hiking trails, 10 km of paved cycling/in-line skating trails, picnic parkland, over 250 native deer wandering about and zillions of migratory and resident seabirds. There is a large number of repeat campers so it is easy to develop lasting and seasonal friendships same faces year after year. Good shopping nearby, lots of tourist attractions, decent eateries and golf courses. For the hardier set, lots of waters edge non serviced sites as well. Try it!
