NEW! Ken's Flicks 2007 (.wmv video 7Mb) - incl... "new trailer extravaganza 2007"...
Presquile Provincial Park - May 21 - June 13th, site # 78, June 14 - 22nd, site #75 booked
Now why shud yer be surprizzed - we always start our kemping season at Presquile off on Bluffs site #78 - short walk showers & terlets and beside the water fer launching the blowed-up-reel-good-boat and canoe. Miles of paved roads and trails for biking, in-line skating, hiking or just walking the dog. With the new canoe and our site right adjacent to the water - gonna be lots of paddling time - gonna take the 4 man blow-up boat and the canoe. Great in May 'n June before schools get out - not crowded, bugs have not yet massed and the steady offshore breezes keep them down even if they do arrive. Most of our camping friends - over a dozen of them at least - have also reserved around this time - time for 'campfire hopping' and the beer & vino will surely flow on a regular basis! Presquile has a huge sandy 2km long well-kept beach, good for walks but for swimming, it's worth the 30 minute drive to Sandbanks to go to Sandbanks beach - best beach in the area and also part of it is designated a "dog beach" so the pooches can come too. At Presquile there are many deer & raccoon with the occasional otter and of course, being a bird sanctuary, Bluff and Gull Islands are a renown bird watchers' paradise - great to sit out and watch the 'waves' of cormorants, terns, heron and mute swans wend their way to and from the islands - reportedly over 200,000 birds call them 'home'! This spring, got the new camera with 10x5.7 zoom - 57 power overall - able to get "up close and personal" from a distance. Fantastic large water-side "Bluff" campsites & the park is close to stores, restaurants and over 37 vineyards for wine lovers. Doesn't get much better than this!
Collingwood 'Elvis Festival' - July 26th - 29th 2007
Presquile Park - August 26th - September 28th, site # 75 September 28th - October 5th - Site #87booked
(Yawn) once again, back to our favourite park and usual fall site. Miles of paved roads and trails for biking, in-line skating, hiking or just walking the dog. With the canoe and our site right adjacent to the water - gonna be lots of paddling time - gonna take the 4 man blow-up boat and the canoe. Most of our camping friends - 10 to 12 of them at least - have also reserved around this time - time for 'campfire hopping' and the beer & vino will surely flow on a regular basis! In the spring we held the first campground "Pot Luck" supper - it was a tremendous success so we plan to do it again this trip. Hopefully it will be come a bi-annual event! Presquile has a huge sandy 2km long well-kept beach, there are some deer (one at least - the numbers keep reducing) & raccoons with the occasional otter and of course, being a bird sanctuary, Bluff and Gull Islands are a renown bird watchers' paradise - great to sit out and watch the 'waves' of cormorants, terns, heron and swans wend their way to and from the islands - reportedly over 200,000 birds call them 'home'! Fantastic large water-side "Bluff" campsites & the park is close to stores, restaurants and over 37 vineyards for wine lovers.
