In April, the JJ Camping Crowd celebrated the arrival of a new family member - a spanking new Jayco 320RLDS which, to non-campers, means a 35' double pop-out travel trailer with all 'the toys'. Our previous 29' trailer served us well but it was a lightweight and that means "low" and not best suited for highway travelling, what with all the large trucks and accompanying windstream, or filling the black-water auxillary tank. This new baby has two "pop-out's" including one where the whole bedroom pops out 4' - much more room, a full wardrobe and drawer chest. Overall, much larger, créme de la créme, winterized with thermopane windows, 32" surround-sound HDTV, comes with HD satellite dish, UV day-night slider shades, full stand-up shower & toilet in separate room, slide out back cargo carrier & bike rack, big tanks with mucho capacity (50 gal water etc), LazyBoy rocker/recliner armchairs and a couch that becomes an automatic air bed. Add to that a 20' electric canopy and pop-out slideout canopies as well as an electric jack and easy levellers. Add spiffy aluminium wheel rims and this baby is a lot "more" than the 29N. Add a high end weight distribution hitch and anti-sway bar and towing this baby really is a breeze, especially with the new 'Blue Boy' pulling it. The new trailer makes it's debut at Presqu'ile in May. We are really looking forward to camping in it (presuming the word 'camping' is still applicable)! We are obviously planting money-tree seeds as fast as we can and hope the trees produce "fruit" as soon as possible!! Getting a new 2010 truck and trailer used up many of the $$ leaves on the existing "money tree". Here are some shots I took of the new trailer. |
